Outcome-Based Approaches to Teaching and Learning


The allocation of University Grants Committee (UGC) funding has supported Lingnan University (LU) in the promotion of Outcome-based Approaches to Teaching and Learning (OBATL) for student learning. Lingnan University, as a liberal arts institution, places considerable emphasis on quality teaching and learning. The University has taken the opportunity to further enhance its mission by adopting OBATL. Activities have included engaging in the process of curriculum review and development to support the new four-year curriculum, with a particular focus on reviewing assessment metrics and creation of criterion-referenced rubrics.
